About the Webmistress:
The webmistress of "Everything Depardieu" is Ginny, a 38-year old American writer -- that's me -- who gets a kick out of doing websites as a hobby.     

My first Depardieu experience was Green Card, which I saw in theaters in 1990.  I thought, "Here's a guy who's not afraid to be out there -- eating, drinking, loving life and what the hell."  He was spontaneous, big hearted, and adorable in a way which was genuine -- a lot more genuine than the typical Hollywood glam thing.  It was a great character for him.  I don't know how much he's actually like that, but that's still my vision of Depardieu.  I have since come to love his foreign film work and to have immense admiration for him as an all-around world-class actor who's incredibly hard-working and not afraid to do anything on screen (and I mean anything).
