Trivia:
This film was an unexpected hit when it appeared in Paris in 1974, selling a million tickets on its release. It has since become something of a cult classic. Although Depadieu has done smaller films, this was his first big "hit" -- it made Depardieu, Miou-Miou and Dewaere overnight stars.
US/UK Status:
Was released in US but is currently out of print. Frequently crops up on ebay. Is available on VHS in the UK. Is available on DVD in France, which is region 2, but without subtitles.
