GÉRARD "LENDS" HIS VOICE TO NEW BOCELLI CD! (FULL STORY) (Reported by Vicki) Andrea Bocelli just released his newest CD "Cieli di Toscana" on October l6th. Included on the CD is "L'Incontro," a song inspired by the birth of his child. The track consists of a spoken-word introduction followed by Bocelli's wonderful singing. What does this have to do with Depardieu? Thanks to a tip by "Topaz" on the message board during September, we were alerted that Gérard "lends" his voice to one of the tracks.
On the French version and Canadian versions of the CD, it is Gérard who narrates the introduction to the song. The English language versions of the CD will include Bono (of U2) reciting the prose; on the Italian version of the CD, Bocelli narrates it himself.
Not to be discouraged, and thanks to the ease of the Internet, the French and Canadian versions are available for purchase. Be sure that the product you select includes the l5th "bonus" track of "L'Incontro." Not all do.

In addition, sellers on E-Bay are already listing the CD...just be sure it includes...yeah, you've got it.... the bonus track (#15). I have ordered my copy and am looking forward to hearing it. And for those of us whose French is less than polished, the Canadian CD also includes the Bono version of the narration (in English).
As many of you know, Gérard has done a variety of recordings. To name a few:
"Histoire du Soldat" (with Carole and Guillaume) "Rosa" - a CD single with M. Mologni "I'll Strangle You" on the Hector Zazou CD "Sahara Blue" "Lily Passion" with Barbara "Chanteurs sans Frontiers" (benefit for Ethiopie) "Ils Ont Dit Moteur"-songs written by Elisabeth for Gerard "Un Piccolo Aiuto" on Zucchero's Greatest Hits (again only on the French bonus version- hear it on http://www.amazon.fr ).
In addition, there are several film soundtracks that include Gérard singing ("Je Vous Aime," "A Pure Formality") and humming (Green Card).
