10/10/00  NEW FILM:  "CQ"!!  Francis Ford Coppola's son, Roman Coppola, will be directing a new feature film called "CQ".  It's the story of a young American film maker in Paris the 1960's  who takes over directing a low-budget sci-fi film set in the year 2000.  It will star Jeremy Davies (Saving Private Ryan).  Depardieu is signed up to be in the film and it's schedule to shoot this Fall (after Asterix??).  More news when I hear it.  Thanks to Stacy for this tidbit and here's a link about it. 

10/10/00  THE BRIDGE DATE CHANGES  Depardieu's 1999 film The Bridge (aka Un Pont Entre Deux Rives) will actually open Oct 27th not Oct 20th at the Paris Theater in NY.

10/2/00  THE BRIDGE OPENS IN THE US  Depardieu's 1999 film The Bridge (aka Un Pont Entre Deux Rives), which he stars in and co-directs (it also stars Carole Bouquet), is opening in New York Oct 20th at the Paris Theater.  According to the distributor, it will open in other cities, including Boston, Seattle, Los Angeles and San Francisco in November.  You can read about it on the distributor's site, Phaedra Cinema.

10/2/00  BRAVO PROFILE!!  Bravo has a series called 'Bravo Profiles' in which they profile entertainers.  They're doing a profile on Depardieu that will air October 23rd at 10pm and October 29th at 1:00pm.  The 23rd -- in case you haven't noticed -- is when they're  airing Balzac.  So be sure to tune in for both!  Check out the Bravo Profiles site.
